I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I attained a BA (Hons) degree in Social Work and Social Policy and a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) at the University of Plymouth in 1996 and a PGDip (Postgraduate Diploma) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Brighton University in 2009. I am registered as a Social Worker with the General Social Care Council and am accredited by the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies). I therefore abide by their ethics and Codes of Conduct. I have worked with people experiencing mental health difficulties since 1995: first as a volunteer; then as a Social Worker in Community Mental Health Centres - as well as for KCA and the NHS (as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist).
